Annual Block Party providing motivation and excitement around getting ready to go back to school. Free to the public. There will be youth activities; food and music. Informational vendors will be on hand providing resource information to the community. View the flyer.
These Community Conversations are held monthly and allow community members to gather and inform and share resources. An update on Melrose Plaza will be provided at this meeting.
We will be holding a Grassroots Community Engagement Day in late September. We are looking for volunteers to assist with canvassing the Melrose corridor to provide information about Melrose Plaza. In preparation for this activity, we are planning a Community Engagement Training on September 6th at the Board Room in the Goodwill Roanoke Jobs Campus.
The Melrose Plaza Advisory Committee meets on a regular basis to share information about Melrose Plaza plans, and garner input from the NW Roanoke community. This session will feature representatives from Bank of Botetourt, banking services partner for Melrose Plaza. The location will be confirmed closer to the date.
